- November 4, 1962 – In a test of the Nike Hercules air defense missile, Shot Dominic-Tightrope is successfully detonated 69,000 feet above Johnston Atoll. It would also be the last atmospheric nuclear test conducted by the United States.
- November 21, 1962 – The Chinese People’s Liberation Army declares a unilateral ceasefire in the Sino-Indian War.
- December 11, 1962 – Arthur Lucas, convicted of murder, is the last person to be executed in Canada.
